Shrewsbury Town 0-4 Crewe Alex 25-26 Review - (Almost)Perfect
The highs and lows of football eh? The previous 2 Saturday's, you were having to talk Alex fans away from the ledge given how their afternoon's had gone. A late collapse at Bristol Rovers and a battering against Walsall. About as low as you can get. But the brilliant thing about football is, there are usually some highs to balance it out. And boy did the Alex put those 2 games behind them with an incredible performance today in the glorious Shropshire sunshine. This is my rev

Shrewsbury Town v Crewe Alex 25-26 Preview - Now or Never
The Alex don't often travel to Shrewsbury with real stakes involved. Their last 3 visits were 2 Septembers and another behind closed doors. The last time the Alex travelled with fans for a game with real weight on the result was at the end of the 13-14 season, when they were battling relegation and got a huge 3-1 win. This time though, they are fighting tooth and nail for a play-off spot. Well, at least they should be. Here is my preview of their short trip to Shropshire: Big

Cheltenham Town 1-1 Crewe Alex 25-26 Review - Limping
Almost a uninjured squad. Options at most positions. A manager that should have learnt lessons from the last 2 seasons and how they ended. And even with all that, the Alex are still desperately limping towards the end of the season, with a bottom half finish feeling far more likely than them finishing 7th right now, with 8 games to go. This is my review of a late draw, but one that doesn't feel particularly great all things considered. Same Issues Bell once again tried to tin

Cheltenham Town v Crewe Alex 25-26 Preview - Good Against the Town
This means absolutely nothing, but I found it interesting all the same. The Alex are 8-1-2 against teams that have town in their name this season. Their 2 defeats were against Swindon and Fleetwood, both at home. That funnily enough sent me down the rabbit hole. Going back to 22-23, their away record against teams who were called 'Town' is 13-7-5, including a 4-0-0 record this season, as they've beaten Fleetwood, Harrogate, Crawley and Swindon. Their last defeat on the road a

Crewe Alex 0-3 Walsall 25-26 Review - Red Flags
Everything I'm about to recap in this review has been written about at various stages of the last 3 years. Nothing we saw today was new or particularly shocking. Yes, there are still 9 games and 27 points left to play for. But the manner of the defeat last week and especially today's horror show should have everyone waving red flags. This is my attempt to sum up a horrendous home defeat to Walsall: Outclassed The Alex being utterly and totally dominated at home is nothing new

Crewe Alex v Walsall 25-26 Preview - Final Stretch
Sigh. I had a really good stat to go in here, but then Walsall go and do something incredibly stupid and sack Mat Sadler, hence the rewrite. Great, another caretaker/new manager coming to the Alex for his first game in charge, following in the footsteps of Christian Fuchs, Steve Evans and Paul Gallagher. Personally, I don't think it changes a massive amount for this game in terms of prep for the Alex. I doubt Walsall are likely to do anything dramatically different in terms o
