Grimsby Town 3-2 Crewe Alex 25-26 Review - Fat Lady
Well, they stayed in the promotion race for 43 games. That's something right? It's time to start writing your season reviews of the Alex's 25-26 campaign. Because barring a complete miracle, they will be playing League Two football again in 2026-27. In a crunch must win game at Grimsby, the Alex not only didn't turn up, but they got badly outplayed by a side that wanted it more, but also were just better than them in every regard. This is my review of their likely season endi

Grimsby Town v Crewe Alex 25-26 Preview - Inseparable
The Alex and Dave Artell might have gone their separate ways 4 years ago now, but it's funny how their fates have remained largely similar. Both the club and their former manager are battling to once again get out of League Two. But in their pursuit of this, they've both become entangled in the promotion dogfight and are on the outside looking in as they desperately try to force their way into the top 7. Who will come out on top in this game? Here is my preview of their match

The Changing of Crewe Alex's Academy
Crewe Alex and off field changes don't go together very often. They've only really had one major shift of owner in the last 40 years, that being the buyout of Norman Hassall in 2020. So to see them come out today and announce that they were dropping the level of their academy from Category 2 to Category 3 in line with the Elite Player Performance Plan(EPPP) guidelines, it came in a weird way as a shock, but also not a shock. It's a monumental change from a group of directors

Crewe Alex 1-0 Salford City 25-26 Review - Baffling
Crewe Alexandra of 2025-26 are the most confusing team. I've not seen anything like it. They can literally go from battling past an in form Oldham side at home to losing comfortably on the road at a mid-table and out of form Accrington. Only then to come back home and deservedly beat a side that is going to make the play-offs this season. It makes no sense. But that's exactly what they did, as they brilliantly took 6 points off Karl Robinson, something I was desperate to see

Crewe Alex v Salford City 25-26 Preview - Jekyll & Hyde
I did some digging into the Alex's record on Easter Monday as I was curious to see what it looked like. And over the last 10 or so years, it hasn't been great. Since the 2014-15 season, they are 2-1-7. Their last win on this date in front of fans was back in 2018-19 against Swindon. Their last home win was back in 2012-13 against Preston. So it's been a while. Anyway, what awaits them as they head into their final 5 games against a daunting set of teams? Here is my preview of

Accrington Stanley 2-0 Crewe Alex Review - Flat
In my preview, I had originally written a section about how fortunate the Alex were to be heading to Accrington at Easter and not in the middle of winter. But then the fixture gods decided to schedule a storm to hit the north west anyway. Typical. In a game that matched the weather, it was ugly, scrappy and bereft of quality. And in the end, the Alex fell short to complete a 3 game stretch where they showed why they are a promotion contender, but likely the odd one out when a
